You get the impression that you are somewhere else the moment you enter Alexandra House. The bottom level welcomes you with its length and spaciousness, and you'll notice how the skylight above lets natural light in.

You are led up the staircase from the front of the house to the back and then back to the front. As you ascend the stairs, you pass through various areas of the house, giving the spaces coherence.

We selected statement pieces that serve as focal points in each of the shared living and eating spaces. In contrast to the home's linearity and powerful lines, they are also curved and organic.

In our Lor 24A Shophouse Series, which consists of 8 conservation shophouses and 7 architects, this unit is one of the eight units. Both the historically significant exteriors and internal details like peepholes and flooring made of wood were preserved.

Our shophouses are all unique individuals with their own personalities and experiences.

Geylang is a serene area chock-full of exciting adventures and stimulating outings. To have a greasy Roti John or a substantial cup of Teochew porridge, step outside your shophouse. To meditate or register for a flamenco dance lesson, enter the Buddhist library. For a chance to see canoeists and dragon boat teams in action, stroll down the canal in the direction of the East Coast or take a 10-minute bus ride to Kallang Riverside Park.
