Figment Shang House

Situated in the Balestier Conservation Area, which has a history of rattan production, this restored pre-war terrace house offers handmade SCENE SHANG furnishings with rattan elements as well as limited-edition home goods and art that accentuate the SHANG HOUSE's century-old exterior.

The drive time to the CBD is 11–16 minutes. By public transportation, it takes 30 to 45 minutes.

The SHANG system, an award-winning, flexible storage system with Ming Dynasty design motifs, is featured in SHANG HOUSE. The beds, hanging lamps, and entrance screens that welcome guests at the door have all been customized to include rattan features as a homage to the tradition of rattan manufacturing in the Balestier area. The SHANG system in SHANG HOUSE is also a special wicker edition.

Aware of the finer points, Middle Kingdom Kiln in Jingdezhen, China, produced handcrafted porcelain vases for SHANG HOUSE, which is also softly furnished with brass, marble, and these materials. Their magnificent pieces are acquired by and offered for sale at the Baltimore Museum of Art and the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, both of which are driven to revitalize and expand Chinese porcelain traditions for a contemporary audience. The relationship between Middle Kingdom and SCENE SHANG was built on the belief that reviving craftsmanship for a modern audience is an important value.

Balestier is a protected district with a 180-year history and is home to a jumble of vintage shops, structures, and cultural attractions. It takes no more than a few steps to smell freshly made bread or a potent cup of coffee. You can locate a variety of architectural treasures by exploring the neighborhood; some of them are even captured in photos of SHANG HOUSE.
